Refund Policy

1. Overview
All products sold on egretstudios.com are digital goods — Blender addons, scripts, geo node setups, materials, textures, and 3D assets — that are delivered electronically and available for immediate download upon payment. Because digital files can be copied and cannot be "returned," our general policy is that all sales are final. We do, however, honour refund requests in the specific circumstances described below.
By completing a purchase on this Site you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Refund Policy.
2. Eligible Refund Circumstances
We will issue a full refund if your request falls into one of the following categories:
a. Product does not work as described
If a product contains a critical technical defect that prevents it from functioning as described in its product listing — and we are unable to resolve the issue within 7 days of your support request — you are entitled to a full refund. You must contact us with a clear description of the problem, your Blender version, and any relevant error output before a refund is issued.
b. Accidental duplicate purchase
If you accidentally purchase the same product more than once, we will refund the duplicate charge provided you contact us within 48 hours of the duplicate transaction.
c. File delivery failure
If your payment was successfully charged but the product does not appear in your Library and we are unable to resolve access within 48 hours, you are eligible for a full refund.
d. Unauthorised transaction
If you did not authorise a charge and have evidence of fraudulent use of your payment method, please contact us immediately. We will cooperate fully with your card issuer's dispute process.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- You changed your mind after purchasing or downloading the product.
- The product does not meet a subjective expectation not stated in the product listing (e.g., visual style, level of complexity, artistic direction).
- The product is incompatible with a Blender version, render engine, or platform that falls outside the compatibility range stated on the product page.
- You purchased the wrong variant (e.g., Lite instead of Pro). Please review product details carefully before purchasing.
- More than 7 days have passed since the original purchase date, except in cases of ongoing unresolved technical defects.
- The refund request is made after the product files have been downloaded and you are requesting a refund for subjective dissatisfaction.
- Discount codes, promotional offers, or bundle pricing are not eligible for partial refunds if you later find a lower price elsewhere.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us at support@egretstudios.com with the following information:
- The email address associated with your account.
- The order ID or transaction date.
- The name of the product(s) you are requesting a refund for.
- A clear description of the issue and why you believe a refund is warranted.
- Screenshots or error logs if the request is for a technical defect.
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method through Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
5. EU / EEA Consumers
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, consumers in the European Union and European Economic Area ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal on distance purchases. However, this right does not apply to digital content that has been made available and the consumer has expressly consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost. By completing checkout on this Site, you provide that express consent and acknowledgment. If you have not accessed or downloaded the files and contact us within 14 days of purchase, we will assess your request on a case-by-case basis.
6. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we reserve the right to permanently suspend your account and access to all purchased products. We strongly encourage you to reach out to us directly — we are a small, independent studio and we will work in good faith to resolve any legitimate issue.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs that transaction.
